Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Alright, my dear Cancerians, hold on to your shells because this horoscope is coming in faster than E.T. on a BMX! The Waning Gibbous moon, which is currently around 19.5 days old (not that we're keeping track or anything), is all about releasing and letting go. It's like a cosmic yard sale! So, for you, it might be the perfect time to finally give away that collection of Star Wars action figures you’ve been hoarding. I mean, how many Chewbaccas does one crab need? This lunar phase also encourages relaxation and introspection. So, if you've been thinking about investing in a new yoga mat or a Star Trek-themed meditation app, now is the time! And remember, just like E.T.'s famous line, "E.T. phone home", you too should focus on connecting with your roots. Maybe it's time to call your mom, or perhaps Google your ancestors, or, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, try to make contact with your past lives on Mars. Remember, Cancer, your emotions are as deep as the Mariana Trench and that’s okay. Just don't forget to come up for air every once in a while. And maybe a bag of Reese's Pieces. E.T. loves those, maybe you will too. #CancerHoroscope #ETphoneHome #CosmicYardSale #StarWarsOrStarTrek #WaningGibbous #NerdyAstrologer
