The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.
"Directive 1: Protect the innocent. Directive 2: Uphold the law. Directive 3: Don't eat shellfish on Tuesday - Moon's in retrograde, Cancer!"

The Waning Crescent moon is currently 26.5 days old. The next new moon is at 23:00:44, 9 Feb 2024. The next full moon is at 12:31:19, 24 Feb 2024.
Hello, my celestial crustaceans! Cancer, it’s time for your cosmic forecast from yours truly, the interstellar jester of astrology. Now, let's get cracking.
You see, with the Waning Crescent moon at a youthful 26.5 days old, it’s basically the cosmic equivalent of a millennial still living in its parent's basement. It’s a little bit lazy, a little bit dreamy, and totally ready to start something new…just not right now.
As we wait for this moon to get its act together, you, dear Cancerians, are in for a wild ride. The stars are aligning and let’s just say they’re stirring up more drama than a season finale of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Buckle up, because space is about to get real!
Now, don't go into your shell quite yet. This is a great time to embrace your inner Sheldon Cooper (I know you're a fan). That's right, use that intellectual curiosity to explore new dimensions of knowledge – just remember, not all theories can be proven with a whiteboard and markers. Don’t be afraid to combine logic with intuition, like a true Spock in Birkenstocks.
Speaking of footwear, the next full moon on the 24th February 2024 is going to be stepping into your life with the intensity of a thousand suns. Well, technically, one very specific sun, but who's counting? It's set to make its grand entrance at precisely 12:31:19, so set your alarms and prepare for an illuminating revelation. You might want to invest in some eclipse glasses, just in case.
So, dear Cancer, as we traverse the cosmos together, remember: where there's a waning moon, there's a way! Go forth and conquer the universe... or at least, your Thursday.
