The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The First Quarter moon is currently 8.3 days old. The next new moon is at 23:32:07, 12 Dec 2023. The next full moon is at 0:33:43, 27 Dec 2023.
Hey there Cancer, buckle up, because this week is going to be as unpredictable as a facehugger on the loose!
With the moon in its first quarter and 8.3 days old, it's basically in its rebellious teenager phase. It's going through changes, and trust me, we'll all feel it. But hey, just like dealing with Xenomorphs, you're built for this.
Now, Mercury is pulling a total Ash and not being entirely truthful. So, communication might feel as garbled as if you were trying to chat using an outdated spaceship communicator. Don’t take anything at face value and double-check before blasting off in response.
Venus, on the other hand, is playing nice. It's more like Jonesy the cat - aloof, but reliable. So expect some warm and fuzzy vibes in relationships. Just remember, Jonesy also has claws, so don't get too complacent, okay?
Saturn is just doing its thing, constantly reminding us of our responsibilities. It's like Mother, always watching, always nagging. Yeah, Saturn, we get it, we have stuff to do!
This week is all about balance, Cancer. Harness your inner Ripley - be tough, be resourceful, but also know when to retreat and catch your breath. And remember, next time you're feeling overwhelmed, just think: at least you're not stuck on a spaceship with a killer alien creature.
