Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Waning Gibbous moon is currently 19 days old. The next new moon is at 9:02:45, 10 Mar 2024. The next full moon is at 7:01:37, 25 Mar 2024.

Hello, Cancers! Now, you're not crabby, just a bit sensitive, right? You're ruled by the moon, after all, and speaking of the moon, we've got a Waning Gibbous on our hands. That's scientific space lingo for "the moon's getting skinnier," the perfect inspiration for any post-holiday diets, eh? I mean, who needs a full moon when you can have a Gibbous one that's 19 days old? It's like the moon's going through a midlife crisis and decided to lose some weight. Good on you, moon! This moon phase is about releasing and letting go, so it's time to chuck out anything that doesn’t serve you anymore. Like that dodgy toaster that's been throwing burnt crumbs at you every morning or that ex who won't stop texting. Say "Cheerio!" and move on. Remember, you have a hard shell but a soft interior. It's okay to be vulnerable sometimes; it doesn't mean you're weak. It just means you're a complex, beautiful being with emotions deeper than the TARDIS is big. And that's a lot, trust me. So, during this lunar phase, embrace the cosmic energy to let go of the old and make room for the new. A bit like cleaning out your sock drawer, only more exciting. Hashtag #CrabbyNotCrabby, #MoonDiet, #TARDISemotions, and my personal favourite, #SockDrawerRevolution. Remember, the universe has your back, even when it feels like you're surrounded by Daleks. Chin up, Cancer! You're doing stellar.

#Cancer
