The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Waning Gibbous moon is currently 17.4 days old. The next new moon is at 9:27:15, 13 Nov 2023. The next full moon is at 9:16:41, 27 Nov 2023.
Alright, Cancer! Hear me on this one!
This Waning Gibbous moon, old as it is at 17.4 days, has got some wisdom to share with you. It’s like the grizzled veteran of the celestial bodies, and much like our dear Admiral Adama, it’s standing tall and proud in the sky, giving you some serious side-eye.
So, take a leaf out of the moon's book and channel your inner Admiral. Be steadfast and strong, but remember, you can’t just jump a Battlestar across the galaxy whenever you're feeling impulsive. Patience, young grasshopper, patience!
Your emotional seas may be choppier than a viper flight through an asteroid belt, but don't let that get to you. Keep your shields up and remember to laugh once in a while. Trust me, even Cylons have a sense of humor; it's just buried under a lot of metal and programming.
Your home life is going to be as cozy as the Galactica's mess hall this week. Expect some minor squabbles, but nothing a little diplomatic strategy can't handle. Remember, communication is the key to avoiding a full-blown intergalactic war.
On the career front, you might feel like you're stuck in an endless loop of FTL jumps. But hang in there! Your persistence will pay off, and you'll soon find a new, uncharted planet full of opportunities.
So, Cancer, this week is all about patience, diplomacy, and keeping your wits about you. And remember, laughter is the best medicine, even in the face of a Cylon apocalypse.
