Solar Activity
Solar activity was very low. All numbered active regions on the visible disk were either stable or in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters reflected the onset of negative polarity coronal hole influence during the period. The total magnetic field strength varied between 8-13 nT, and the Bz component reached as far south as -10 nT. Solar wind speeds steadily increased from a low of 330 km/s early in the period to a peak of around 480 km/s.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
